The Rope in Your Hands 
2009-2015

The Rope in Your Hands is an interview-based, hour-long docu-drama centering the lives of Katrina survivors in New Orleans. The project toured internationally, from the Edinburgh Fringe to universities all over the country. In 2015, this project was partnered with the work of St. Louis activist Darian Wigfall. It was presented in Washington D.C. with the Doorway Arts Ensemble, as part of the New York City’s 2012 Frigid Festival, where it garnered much critical acclaim.

Natural Novice

Natural Novice is a part-autobiographical and part-docudrama solo performance exploring the identities of women through the avenue of their hair. It won Best of the Fest at Charm City Fringe Festival in 2013, Fringe Crush in St. Louis in 2014, ran a sold-out run in Minneapolis in 2014, and had its final official performance in Orlando, Florida in 2016.

Colonize(d)
2016

Part autobiography, part ethnography, part realism, surrealism and absurdism, Colonize(d) is a performative confrontation of our past as well as a rally for our present, in order to connect for our endangered future. It is created and performed by Siobhan O’Loughlin and Issa Manalo Lopez.
